Yes after some research I see that as well:) Thanks for the information. It looks like a rocker girdle adds some more headache to a valve lash...... Starting to think about a Hydraulic setup, after diving into some solid roller searches it seams like a very labor intensive and expensive choice to run the solids. Changing lifters every 30-50 hours!!!:(

Okay so the cam card reads .714 gross intake lift .690 gross exhaust lift valve lash .20 lash adjustment both sides, intake 260 @ .50 duration and exhaust @ 268 .50 duration. Could a similar setup be done with a hydraulic over the solids. Again motor is limited to 6k.

I've ran the same Isky solid lifters since '06. I just sent them back to Isky last month to get them rebuilt $20/ea or $320/set.
And I'm putting those solid lifters on my new hydraulic roller cams this season. Don't be scared of them, check the lash this summer and enjoy the boat.:) |

I would first check the lash at about 20 hrs and then again every 10-15 hours. When the lash exceeds .002 over your base setting, you will then better know your approximate adjustment interval. Our experience is the lash adjustment cycle depends on the entire valve train combination.
