So just because someone is new to this site means there a dum a$$ and are going to be smart as hell after they take your advice..........yeah right!!
See, what your forgetting is YOUR the IDIOT that came on here telling everyone ELSE that there suckers and don't have a clue about boat engines so you can quit CRYING that we treated you like a DUMBAZZ because until you acted like one we were fine with you. BUT lets go over a few things YOU HAVE ADMITTED to get the facts straight:
1. Even though you want to argue/school us about how to build a BBC boat motor you admit you have NEVER actually built one EVER
2. You have a 45 mph sbc powered Baja that you pieced a motor together from your 87 Camaro so that makes you a engine builder/boat expert
3. You race go karts so that makes you a race car expert
4. You read a few magazine articles about big hp stuff OTHER people built that you have NEVER met that among US OSO members we actually have done business with or know them first hand.
5. You have insulted many guys that were building motors/racing and MAKING BIG HP when you were still sucking on your Mommas Titty's and wearing diapers
Do I need to keep going, YOU have thoroughly PROVED that you ARE a IDIOT and a DOUCHE , we didn't have to work real hard to do it, you did it FOR us!!!

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but if you can get him to split up and bag one for $7k, you could be back on the water quick http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o49192-en.html

Smitty, what do you think the 272 would run with a $5k 750HP cast crank engine turning 6850 RPM on 93 Octane through the stock cast iron manifolds?
I guess it depends if we are talking running down the highway behind the truck on the way home from vacation PIZZED off because it blew up or we are talking on the water right before it ingest some water and hydro locks!!

How did I miss this thread! Great read... feel bad for the guy that just wanted his Baja motor fixed

Hey 2fAt69for5us, maybe I'll see you on the lake? I'll toss you a tow line and drag you back to the ramp when your cast crank, peanut port 2700HP 7.4 scatters on a flyby... hell, I'll even throw you a beer while I tow you back to the ramp My Merc Racing EFI's might be underpowered, overpriced turds, but I always get home. And I like the color blue. Guess I'm a sucker??

He never said stock exhaust. Need custom headers. See post #104

I think its because there were more of them sold or made then just about every other boat it size or bigger, but keep in mind "2stupidforhisowngood5tu" has a 20 ft Baja or something, not a 272!

Yes, but that's just his family boat, he wasn't even trying, he was testing a prop and decided to make a video to show us all how scared we should really be. He was thinking about building an engine to "beet" us all, but he is too busy at the go cart track right now beeting Roush, AJ Foyt, Tony Stewart, and God.

Last week when he "beet" Roush, Jack himself stopped by the pits and jumped on the tailgate of his 88 S-10 and asked 2fastforeveryone how Roush could be as successful as him. Turns out Roush will now be using stock GM engines from the junkyard with new heads for all their racing, they are all the same thing anyway.

The only positive thing to come out of this thread....no one will ever pick on Mike Tkach's grammar again

Yah 65 would even be nice. As I said texas lakes are low and small these days.

I mainly took it to thr shop because insurance said they may cover some or all of it... not counting on it. But at least said they would cover diag and tear down. I know it sounds stupid but id be sad to have the boat here messing with it. Maybe miss something small and cause a problem. Im not such a great mechanic myself. Also had no clue how I woukd get the motor out of that sucker when its on thr trailer.

id rather just have the right guys do it. And know its done right. I have shortcuted things in the past and it always bites me in the ass.
