Default Need add on steering help ASAP so I can boat tomorrow

I just installed a latham hydraulic add on system. Single Ram bravo drive using the modified controller. My question is do I still leave the steering hooked up on the inside of the boat or does the external ram control all of the steering? With it unhooked it turns fine to the right but only turns about half way left and is very slow to turn. Does it sound like I still have air in the system? Theres no leaks anywhere and its full of fluid. The only way the drive moves like it supposed to is if the controller is hooked up on the inside of the boat. With this hooked up I don't know if the hydraulic ram is doing anything at all.

The internal needs to stay hooked up with an add on system.
