I appreciate you guys chiming in here to help a newb... I have been a Mopar guy for 30 years and know them in and out. Its the little details that always get you and I just don't have
the experience with the marine stuff..... My marine guy just happened to find a brand new, in the box, Thunderbolt IV 24* ignition module with pigtail connector yesterday so I should be able to get this thing running today!

So far so good! Fired it up tonight and it sounds pretty
Beefy! Got a few water leaks to take care of but no oil leaks..... Set the timing at 7* before and primed the carb bowls and it fired off so fast it scared me!! Dogs went running!! Initial fuel pressure was 9 1/2 with the mech pump and I was not happy with that but the Holley 850 HP I was using did not skip a beat....it settled down to 8psi after a few minutes........I have a mighty demon 850 but the damn fuel inlets use a special fitting so I took the carb off a 528 hemi and it worked pretty good! Timing is set at 34* now and has great throttle response..... Motor sounds like it will be a torque monster and should have it in by the weekend....

Just fyi - the v8-24 module does not have all the timing in until 3700 rpm.
If you want the TBIV / TBV manual in pdf - send me your email addy.

Ok thanks for the offer....... my email is my screen name at the yahoo site... Yes, I could see the timing continu to move as I increased rpm..... This engine has a 4-7/2-3 cam lobe swap and it has quite a snarl when revved? Has a different sound for sure......... The Dogs did not like It one bit!
