No easy way to get 6 MPH without spending a lot of money. Griff's suggestion of focusing on the props makes sense to me - if max WOT RPM is only 4500 RPM that tells me you are slightly over propped. Try to find a pair of slightly smaller props, maybe 2" less pitch, and see what the boat does spinning around 4800 RPM. You will lose a little bit of mid-range cruising speed though.
Personally, if it was my boat I would leave it stock and just enjoy having one that moves under its own power.

An easy way to reach your MPH goal is with NOS. Jet each kit for 75 h.p. and you will easily hit 70+ with the right prop. I put a NOS on a friend's Mirage 350 Mag (270 hp I believe) single and it picked up 5 mph. You could do this for about a grand and resell the kits when you get your next boat. Food for thought.
