simple swap, find one of the later units(ebay lots of times) you will need to change the lines to O-ring style, just order later model ones, you should already have the O-ring on the pump end, my 89 did, if it does not you can change out that fitting easily, just keep the pressure relive valve and spring that is right under the fitting...you also will loose the 2 short lines at the cyl you have now...newer setup much better....also look to see if somebody changed to full Hyd and has what you need...

Also, look closely at you lines to make sure that they are not leaking. I was certain that mine was bad a couple years ago, went to the trouble to replace it, and then when I hooked it back up found that I had a cut in one of the lines that was spewing fluid in the direction of the actuator, which made it look just like it was the actuator leaking.

the 2 short metal lines have rusted out. i got short copper lines from auto parts store and bent them up and installed them. hardest part was getting valve out of boat, which you hafta do whether you are checking it out or replacing anyway.

if you upgrade to the newer style they do not use the short lines anymore...
