Default baja to a sea ray

sold my outlaw 24 to go to a sea ray 210 bow rider (my kids like the bow rider).the sea ray 210 has a 5.7 engine and the top speed is 45 mph, i would think that the boat should do 50+ mph . the engine has 199 hrs and runs great 19 p mirage on it.is this all i am going to get out of this boat ?

The drive is too deep for high speed running. It's set deep for stability.

is that a 2 barrel 5.7 ? if so go to a performer intake and carb, you getting 4500-4600 ?? but those are NOT performance hulls..

I used to have an Ebbtide 210 with the same 5.7 Carb. I ran a Mercury Laser II SS prop, 21 pitch and I was able to run low 50s.

For comparison, I had a searay 190. It had a full roller (cam, rocker arms) ported gt-40 heads, port matched dual plane edelbrock intake, holly 650 (completely worked) 10 to 1 compression and thru hull pipes. 350 horse or so.

The boat topped out at 53 on the gps.

The prop shaft was 6.5 below the keel.

I was running a 17" stainless 3 blade mercury prop and a pre alpha drive (1.5)

53 with 17 inch prop? you were winding it to near 5500.

Yes I was. Mid 5000's topped out! 5600 or so max. I tried a 19" but didn't have the torque to spin the bigger prop with so much propshaft depth.
