Try going to Haltech.com and they have a programmable computer that plugs into the GM connections for around the price quoted in the thread to reprogram yours. Further if you make changes to your motor back to ASM for another charge. I can't see it, try a new route and I think you'll be a lot happier in the long run. Let us know.

Flagship marine in Punta Gorda Florida reprograms and may be able to help. I know they did the original programming with B@M on the MEFI 1 for my B@M 250 EFI. Also, Rinda Technologies builds the scan tools for Mercruiser which scan MEFI 1 through MEFI 3 plus alot of others. They should know alot.
