Firepower ignition complete set up thru Mercruiser has been long gone years ago. Also 502 black production engines used Thunderbolt IV ignition set up back then. Also the thunderbolt IV ignition module by itself and harness is NLA. There is a Mercruiser Service Bulletin that came out about 3 or 4 years to do an conversion as for new parts and part #'s in a kit..
Merc Racing 502 / 465 back then, the years 1990 - 1992 as the first half engine serial # breaks used FirePower ign. set up and then the second half engine serial breaks used Thunderbolt IV either way the OVERSPEED ASSEMBLY IS NLA. ---- FYI
It might be possible that a Merc dealer has the Firepower Ignition system laying around in the parts room. You can call a local Merc dealer and he can run the older part #'s for U to see who might have one in the USA.. It will be very slim to none to find a completely brand new unit.

I just saw your post about firepower ignition. I have four of them, two red and two black ones. I will sell one or all. Pat [email protected]
