I had a 211 Lib also with the stock (ran good and solid but with many hours) 350 King Cobra and stock 21 prop.
It would get over 50 once in a great while with luck, a tail wind, light load, just me in it, etc etc...
You get the idea.
I think it would take a lot more motor than stock to get a solid 57-58 out of that boat, hull, etc if everything else is stock.
You do sound like you are back towards the factory area and speeds compared to what I had and what others I have heard.
I had always heard that those boats with the 460 KCs were still running under 55 mph.

I took it for a test run today, throttle is opening all the way and secondaries are opening opening all the way.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I removed the whale tail and now im hitting 52mph. Going to double check timing, and see what else I can think of to get my 57mph again.

what made a world of differance om my customers boat was a 4 blade propeller..he picked up like 5 mph by switching props..i put a 16x20 mach 4 blade on his 211 and it woke up the hull big time..he liked it so much he bought all three i had,then i sent them all out to be labbed by dah ..that was like 10 yrs age..last week i spoke to him and he is getting too old for this boat so he decided to put it up forsale..he know he would not get what he has into the boat so he gave me all the mach props to sell..

I would be interested in buying one to try it and see what happens. Did they come off of an OMC drive?

yes,,exact boat but a built 468 ford..he had a 1.42 drive ratio..
