he was asked several times to post the dyno sheet, won,t do it.kind of like the thread about the boat engine with 30 hrs on the rebuild can i see the paperwork, sorry i don,t have any paperwork,NO PROOF but who really cares anyway?he stated almost 1000 hp so if that means 990 hp the number is 1.83 hp per cu in.easily achieved with a whipple but not so easy with an undersized 8.71.jmo.

Alex, what is your thoughts on static compression? I've had a lot of guys look at me like I was a reckless maniac because my engines are 9:1 with blowers lol. My blowers are 7% under driven right now making 6psi. Actually been running this setup for quite a while now, been working great. I know everyone likes the 7.5-8.25:1 range for blown stuff, but I've been outside that bounds a bit and liking how it works.

I was told the same thing,,I'm at 9-1 also,,been running like that for years, why.because most of the time I'm cruising at 3500rpm and 65-69mph.I wanted the engines the most efficient in my cruise for what I had.I almost went 9.5-1 but thought I wouldn't push my luck on the wot runs.still didn't want to rely on my knock sensors all the time.

9 to 1 with iron heads and a decent amount of boost can be dangerous, espically with the wrong cam and no chiller.don,t believe every thing you read because i have seen a lot of guys posting up bad advice lately.as far as the guy with the 540 making near 1000 hp on 6.5 lbs of boost,i guess he could make 1500 with 8 lbs.why spend your money on a whipple when all you need is an 8.71?
