Guy in one of the efi forums. I'm sure if you call a GM good wrench dealer and give them the part number it would be much cheaper than Jegs. Jegs and Summit are high retail...

If you are going to fuel inject your engines I would use a coil for each spark plug. I had a Fast XFI on my engines with MSD worst combination I ever had between RF noise and craping ignition boxes out nothing like coming home on one engine. Maybe if I had hall effect pick ups RF might not of bin so bad even alternator would give problems with RF. My engines are getting Holley Dominator ecu's built in capability of firing smart coils. NO MORE MSD. Only MSD that I never had a problem with was 7AL series. Another big plus would be no more water under distributor cap.

that was the GM rear mounted cam sensor, use in place of dist, heard issues about those being plastic...the other kits look like they are using just late model factory sensor setups...not a bad idea as long as running a ECM that will work as most aftermarket ones would..

we ran into the same issues as well with the RF interference from the MSD box and the crappy pickups failing in the dist...

"As Gimme mentioned, if you want to run sequential, you need to have a cam position sensor. In the case of the Mefi, the cam sensor allows you to run 2 knock sensors and have individual cylinder knock retard. With the Mefi, we make a 1x cam sensor that takes the place of the distributor. I'm not sure what the Holley uses. Haxby could better answer that. You can have DIS without the cam sensor, but it's so easy to incorporate it. There are some that are commercially available. I just didn't really care for them. The have a cast housing with a stamped steel wheel. They just look cheap to me. That's why we did a billet aluminum piece. It has a larger shaft, sealed roller bearings, the wheel is hard coat anodized, etc. Obviously, it costs more than the cast one, but I think it's worth it."

Thats a good looking piece, I wonder if they are having Eddie Young build them for them?

I haven't been able to find what gen blocks it fits, can you tell us? While your at it, is there any benefit to going to an LS firing order? Would make switching to EFI really easy.
