Ok, I could be wrong, the test was run last year,15 min.apart,on a gps. Now I don't know if I used a 23 or 25 rev. 4. I did get out of the hole faster, but like I said no bow lift ie slower top end. Thats the way it worked out for me. May be diferent on other boats

I would find it hard for a 4 blade to beat a 3 blade on top end unless the 4 blade is TOO much prop (out of the reccomended rpm range.) Then you could get more mph out of a 4 blade if the pitch was too high.
From what I found out on MY boat
the Rev 4 does not lift the transom as much as the Bravo's but more than the 3 blades. This is why I tell everybody to try the rev 4 first. It is a the compromise between wanting a 3 bladed for top end but love the mid range of a four blade. The only bad thing about the Rev's is the hightest pitch is 23. My stock 23 Rev 4 spun the same rpm as my labbed Bravo 1. Maybe 50 to 75 more rpm than the bravo 1.
