you pick a hp goal and alot of cams will get you there.

I don't think it would be money well spent to spend all that money on a nice set of heads and put the wrong cam in the motor. Not only will it make less power on the top end. But it will be sluggish. Add a Carburetor that is entirely too big and it gets even worse.

BB, I actually thought you were being sarcastic with your first post. I don't think the 741 is way out of line for this build. My only thought would be that you could make the same, or more power with a more modern lobe design that is a little easier on valve train parts. if I already had a 741 though, I'd probably run it. I'm going to guess 635 if you've got your valve train sorted.
