I had Dale at CFM build my carb.
Lives 10 minutes from my house and has been building holley stuff for a long time!

Sure, I could have bought a "box" carb and saved a couple hundred bucks and, I bet it would have been ok but, when I have a problem, question or need advice, Dale answers the phone and sets me straight. To me, that's worth the price of admission alone!

I bought a brand new 850 marine Quickfuel carb off eBay from Quickfuel, and then sent it to a carb shop for fine tuning who discovered that it had an 830 body on it and some mismatched parts inside. Otherwise I've loved the carb.

The only experiance I had with a Pro systems carb, was on a blow thru setup, that was built for the application. It was no where near being close out of the box. Not even in the ballpark.

The quick fuels are nice carbs. The billet metering blocks and baseplate is nice. And everything is adjustable, down to the emulsion bleeds, power valve restrictors, etc.

Interesting, the one I had built worked perfectly. I can understand your frustration though if what you got, didn't work.

In drag racing it's been long known nitrous carbs pat is pretty good, blow thru, don't bother. I had great luck with csu for those. But that isn't what the op is looking for. I think a quick fuel or Holley hp series will work well for the $$

Jamie, heard good things about csu for the blow thru's as well. We ditched the prosystems for a C&S aerosol carb, was much much better. Roger was great to work with as well during dyno tuning, as his carbs work a bit differently than most.

I've only read a little bit on the aerosol carbs. Heard good things. Maybe someday I'll get to you with one

Nice to be that close. And yes, he's been around forever.
