Measured two intake and two exhaust with a sunnen gauge all 4 valves were .0018 after the fourth valve came out exactly the same as the other three I was pretty convinced these were not some thrown together production type of heads.

Wish mine did.....still tighter then a Great Lakes head should be, but that will last....

I dropped my brand new set of 357 cnc'd AFR heads off a Dave Wesseldyke last Friday. they came fully assembled. He is going to take them apart and check them over and install the proper springs.

Anyone know the difference between and AFR valve and a Manley Severe duty intake?

Full Force 05-27-2015 09:21 PM

Afr valves are Ferrera from what I am told.. That's it

difference is $10.00 manley stuff is very good quality don't think AFR could compete on valves against them. BTW did your engine dyno yet?

On AFR's parts list they list Ferrea for the Titanium valve. I thought they used manley valves, they don't say the brand that I saw for the Stainless intake valves, but they use manley locks and retainers it looks like.
