See Post #10 here: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...-question.html

Some of are thinking you have other issues than not enough power, if the motors are good..

SB i understand u think it not fast enough for the power it has but ill give you another example ...
My buddy just bought a 1996 Fountain Fever 27 without power and Called Joe Corretti of Coretti racing engines and ordered a custom built 540 ci dart motor making 600 Hp for the boat ...
It runs 70 MPH @ 5200 Rpm with a bravo 24 prop !!!!!!!!
Ive seen that there in the USA that a fountain fever 27 runs 70 Mph with a HP 500 blue motor !!!!!!!!
See the difference !!??!!??
Here is very salty also !!!!!!!

The m1 will add power to a 540 and a good 540 will not be stessed by it ever. Just dont expect a lot of boost and dont try to spool it to 80,000rpm to get your boost back.
besides a proper 540 with 10 or so psi is going to take you directly into drive obliterator status if your still stock
you can always sell a functioning m1 to offset the cost of 540 upgrade too.

That thing must have a 4.25 upper pulley on it or loose inlet tube hose clamps.
how much does it cost to import cases of 104+ octane boost there
