Yep. I saw that a few weeks back, i could have swore they were supposed to be the 5045s I remember kris bought a bunch of sets from bob, and could have swore he ordered the 5045s for his and dans engines when he was putting them together. Either way, his lifters look identical to my 4603s when we had them side by side

Morel recommends .025 preload, or half a turn on mine (which are donzimatts old ones). Mine are lashed now but on engine stands, so I could do a full turn.
To me it sounded like a couple of them were noisy last season for 5 minutes or so and then quiet right down, but not all 32 haha.
I've always done a half turn on engines with never an issue, now I'm second guessing...

One nice thing about the Johnsons is axle oiling if you buy the good ones, I am sure that's gonna help bearing issues, at least I hope so, I think that's only available in solid Morels, not sure aboiut other brands.

I didnt need a replacement ..havent had any issues
Also, icdedppl has ran straight 50 weight with them , as well as 15w50, and 20w50, no collapsed lifters or weird stuff.
Him and i have a decent amount of time on them since 2012, turning around 6k rpm on many occasions in each of our engines , so i cant believe its just "luck". Generally i think they are a good lifter.

I believe there is close to .150 inch of travel, so at one turn there is still .1 inch of slack, half turn .125 inch.
Maybe I will turn mine up to 1 full turn.
