well at this point, it spun at least one rod bearing, sent metal everywhere, hard to tell form what I see how long ago of or if what rebuilt. inspection of the heads/valves may tell more, why it did it hard to tell, don't take this personally but i have seen good engines destroyed in a short time by dump mistakes(oil lines crossed, carb flooding and killing the oil, etc). Just trying to look at it from the other side of the fence...

True but you can clearly see how old it looks and that is not a 4 hour engine....

I bought these motors (2) in May. I traded my 2 running 454's and cash for these. They were suppose to be completely rebuilt and gone through, with pretty much all new internals. That was the agreement anyway. Plus he said they had a warranty. All of the sudden they have no warranty now, he wont return my calls although he will send me texts to tell me I caused all this to happen. His excuses through text for this happening has been that the timing was set wrong to the oil lines where not plumbed correctly but they were not changed from how he plumbed it.
As far as damage the rod bearings for 5 and 6 cylinders are gone along with most other bearings being damage in someway along with the rods for 5 and 6 being damaged.
I have put less than 4 hours on these with over 2 of those hours being at idle do to 2 plus hour idle rides back to the ramp. I have never left the ramp and came back with both motors running.
