Did you just change impeller but not the black plastic housing and wear plate along with the correct new o-ring gaskets ?

If you did change all of that - did you crack the impeller housing when cranking the bolts down ? It only requires 10 ft lbs of torque in a star pattern when installing

The SB says saltwater only but that is not true. Seen many from lake waters as well.
