Default 350 magnum Engine head and cam upgrade

I have a 1993 Wellcraft 26' Nova Spyder with twin 350 Magnum engines. I have a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads # 60899 64cc 2.02"/ 1.60" valves. I was thinking about changing the heads, cam not sure of what grind and carb... What kind of horsepower upgrade could I expect don't want to waste time or money for little power, Has anyone had any luck with this. I really don't want to put stroker motors in it. Thanks for any help.

We can get you 100hp. Low end torque will be greater too.

Question is, will the boat respond to it....that needs to be answered by other 26ft Nova Spyder owners that have done mods.

Really depends on your exhaust. Most decent cams will require the minimum of extending the inner pipe of your exhaust by a foot or more if factory or factory style.

For a quick out of the box cam I used the GM LT4 hot cam kit. I'm running factory exhaust with no issues so far

I have done drag racing over the years and 100 hp is easy to get out of a 350 chevy but i was told that boating is a lot different so your saying 100 hp per motor or total between the two mortors.
Thanks

The early 350 magnums were 270 horsepower at the crank. Add a good set of heads, cam, intake, and carb for an easy 350 horsepower engine

100hp per motor. 350hp is easy. Stock short block, Hot cam (or comp cams 218/224 112LSA HR) and Vortec heads (yours are similar power wise) have been done a bazillion times and make mid 300hp level.

Again, most ectend the inner pipes of their exhaust or go to aftermarket performance ones.
