as sb stated, the holley blue, black&red pumps are pretty much junk.i am running aeromotive a1000 pumps with great results .
|
FWIW, I ran the Holley Black electric pumps on my old Top Gun for 10 seasons, sold the boat 5 yrs ago and they are still going strong. Yes, I do feel the Aeromotive is a better pump but installed properly, the Holley's do work well. As mentioned above, electric fuel pumps do not like to pull fuel, they Must be mounted close to the tanks and as low as possible.

pumps are below the tank but the fuel water seperater lines come out and make a 90 go upward to the housing and then down a ninty .. to the pump ill post picks .. i drove up to see ..what a pain in the ass theese pumps are ..anyne know haw the tank confiquiration is on theese top guns . it looks like a hose runs on top of the tanks ..confusing .. and thanks wired through selonoids ect looks like a great install ..

Wow that looks horrible. I would take it all out and do it right. Throw all that junk in the trash and start over with the right parts. The wiring is bad too.

that is some crafty pluming i must admit.. just go back to a seawater pump with ke fuelpump like my fountain

Rob, the best thing you can probably do, is rip out all that crap, and start from the fuel tank with new stuff. The best pump in the world isn't gonna help with small, restrictive style fittings like that. Especially if you are thinking of going to larger blowers. I can help you put together some basic, yet proven fuel system setups that simply work.
