Anything wrong with pro comp heads? Weaknesses? I'm sure the Brodix, Darts and AFR CNC heads can make more power but for a simple gain over say a GM 088 head would they be a good step or save the $$$?

well.... that's the thing there..... my Pro Comps that I had to spend lots of money to make right...I bet they flow similar to my AFR because my old engines actually pushed the boat better then new ones do.... (sore spot for me) but after reading so much about casting issues and seats falling I am totally happy with my decision to buy the AFR, now marine ready out of the box? that's determined by who you talk to mine were not ready for my application and one set had the wrong springs, if I did it again I would for sure buy bare and set them up, I spent good money for marine ready then had to make them actual MARINE ready.... so I spent much more then I needed to.... never bolt on out of the box heads is what I learned..... ever.....

The procomps arent bad performance wise, just casting quality wise, and with that, i would stay away from purchasing them.

I know, I know, you two have a super close "personal" relationship outside of cyber land.

Priceless!
