I totally agree, but at $1889 they are a little too proud of their product. At $1200 I could swallow that pill a little better.

I run the Crower stainless shaft rockers . They are a real nice piece. I used to run the Jessel Aluminum shaft rockers but I really didn't care for them . They are bulky and heavy with less strength , also the aluminum rockers have a life cycle , The steel rockers do not .

I'd say in the 5000-6000rpm range shaft rockers are a nice upgrade but not necessary. A stud mount system with good quality components, proper geometry, the right spring pressures and a good girdle are more than adequate. I'd also say that anything running above 5000 on a regular, continued basis would benefit more from .903 lifters and 7/16 push rods than standard lifters, 3/8 push rods- but shaft rockers. I'm also not a fan of individual stand shaft rockers like the Jesel Sportsman series. If you're going shaft, go shaft and do it right. Personally I prefer T&D over Jesel because of their difference in geometry. T&D builds their rockers with mid lift geometry in mind, Jesel does not. I don't lose any sleep over the aluminum vs. steel debate. Choose your poison as long as it's a quality product and you'll be fine.
