Not sure I ever got it all my talking a was over the phone with afr, I am not sure about you but I trust what I see with y own eyes not what someone can makenitbeajt they want... I am not sure if that happens or not there but I KNOW what my eyes saw... And have video proof... Not an email paper typed by some guy.
Oh that's right I forgot there is no way anyone can possibly be wrong but me, I am the only person to ever have any issue whatsoever with any heads.... My story is all made up out of the sky.

Well the whole truth has been said many times, I just searched email the only ones from afr are Jeremy with sending my head... That's it. I talked to Tim about results on phone he said they measures within spec .0013-.0014 according to his info still too tight for marine use in cold water, you know the lifter was the actual cause with the heads right behind it, I had metal transfer and I have pictures of every little thing that happened and posted many times you wanna sit here and keep telling me bob is right and afr is perfect and I am stupid and cannot do things right.... You keep bashing on me you know the answers so give it up.... Only reason my situation is still discussed is because of you and brian. You can bash me, tell people the lies, what bob says, what brian says... I really don't care... I know what happened, I know what I was told, I know what I did to make it right... If I sucked that bad would I have been boating every weekend? Nope.... I am not the idiot you really want me to be... You know for a fact that's true..
Fact is the heads were sold as marine ready bolt on and go, FACT is that's not the case ... Me being my own builder should have been advised by Bob to have them taken apart and checked especially not being a builder by trade, that did not happen... I already had heads that were all fresh I was led to think these would be a much better choice... That's not the case... I think afr is a great head, but next time I will have them sent bare and should them to know exactly what I got. That goes for any brand.

Well I just figured if there was some type of e-mail AFR sent you as to cause of failure then maybe it would shed some more light on the cause of your failure.Because it this point it's not clear. Atleast to me me and I'm sure others. Was it the Valve, lifter or something else? I'd really like to know the "whole" truth in the matter.

Its pretty simple guys. When purchasing a set of aftermarket heads things have to be addressed to use in a marine application. Its our responsibility as engine builders to make sure the parts are set up for our application. Unfortunately it seems that the aftermarket has lost some of there quality control and i believe its directly related to the foreign market trying to cut the prices. What it boils down to is when we purchase a set of heads for a build we go threw every single detail to make sure the heads will work good for its intended purpose unfortunately sometimes that means re machining to meet our standards. I haven't seen a set come in that hasn't needed something done to them in a LONG LONG time.

True, wish I knew that before I was sold bolt on heads for a boat engine.... Now I know ...

If I was told otherwise when ordering I would have asked my machinist what the better way is he would have said bare and I will build them... But I was not told to have them checked
