trying to get the engine to perform like it was quoted on the dyno sheet , we thought it was restricted on air flow .

What spark arrestor are you using? As we have been experiencing through Articfriends, many of them even the 500efi are killing power.

I havent gotten a 502 short block yet to put my afr heads on and start dynoing my 500 efi intakes yet to see where hp increases are but I can tell you on a ported 502 mpi intake going from the twin 60 mm throttle body to tpis 68 mm twin throttle body w 500 efi cam we saw a small gain of about 17-18 hp BUT keep in mind all the other mods to intake might have made the throttle body the restriction, if you gained 15 hp from throttle body mod it would barely gain 1 mph or so. What cam, what tune do you have?

WE also saw a 10hp or so increase going from 60 mm twin throttle body to 65 mm twin tb then 7 or 8 more going to the even bigger tpis, not sure how big the upgraded throttle body is vs a stock one on a hp 500. If you had scanner pro on your 500 on water alot can be told from manifold map, if throttle body or air cleaner poses any restriction you will see 97 map or less, when you start seeing 98.5 or 99 map there is pretty much no restriction
