Looking at replacing my hp500 crane 611 cam. I want to replace with another crane. I don't want the high idle or reversion issues like I have with the 611 but don't want to give up any hp. Who does. What would you guys suggest 781 731 791???? What your thoughts? Anyone tried any of these already with good results? Everything is stock carb hp500 with the taller risers

I thought the later tall risers got rid of the reversion on the HP500 ? They are pretty damn tall.

Those are the tails I have and still sucked some water at idle Idle had to be at 800 or better and it helped but seems like a band aid to me Want to use a cam thats not so prone and worrisome at idle but makes the same power any ideas

The regular 741 is a 112 lob sep. The 525EFI cam is a 114 lob sep.

Don't know the Crane # for the 525EFI cam but its posted somewhere on OSO.
