Comp cams now offering a cam upgrade for the 525 EFI merc engine. Anyone tried it yet? List price 399.68

I'm not complaining but I just bought cams off him and paid more than that. But he also spent time with me customizing a cam for my motors so it was worth it.

Mild, I looked at those. I wonder if they are the 8620 steel?

Not sure. Billet they say though, with iron gear.

Engines aren't back together yet, need to deck heads and set valve guide clearances. Then I can assemble the heads and bolt them on.

Interesting. It looks more like a VERY close copy than an actual upgrade. Can't be much of a change since no ECU change is needed.
