Ran into same thing on my AFRs and KRE Pontiac heads, one of the 2 i had to even reduce the OD of a good snapon socket to get it in plug recess

# 5 hole on the starboard engine is real tight, had to use a thin wall 5/8 socket to get it out ( AFR )
