A number of years ago I read an article that compared the use of a battery in an auto and a boat. I would have thought that a boat battery gets the snot beat out of it - with all the waves etc. Turns out it was just the opposite. An auto/truck battery gets a heck of a lot more abuse during use- more vibrations, and bumps-- some engineering type did the study. If I ever find the article I'll post it.
