installing prop on #6 drive
I had a prop nut come loose on me. I re-torqued it however the prop 'wobbles' a little on the shaft. I switched props and the new set are tight on the shaft. I am guessing that I screwed up the old prop? So what did I do wrong besides let the old one get loose? I always put a small amount of grease on the splines, should I be putting them on dry or with a special grease?
any input would be great

I dont know about the herrings, but the 26 spline merc props are made to fit both 3A, V, big shaft IV, as well as the slightler larger diameter #6 shaft. The shafts on the 6 drive are slightly larger, so the bushing is made to be removed and replaced per the application. Ive changed them out before, they are there. Alot of guys dont know, and run around without the proper bushing, and the prop actually only stays square on the shaft due to the nuts torque holding it
