Thanks. I knew yours where. I was asking HAxby.
Lose the Vic Jr's. Get RPM or RPM Air Gaps. The carbs are fine.

Most definately.

HaxbySpeed 03-15-2016 12:25 PM

Yes, the later ones are actually Nodular iron like LS. 6000rpm is nothing

HaxbySpeed 03-15-2016 12:26 PM

Yes 5.7 scott

Does that Intake(edit in: Stealth Ram) make that much power ?

You are surpassing 383's w AFR's (not AFR Vortec's) and RPM airgap/750 Holley;s with GM Hotcam by about 20hp or so.

That intake makes killer power on small motors, a carb and dual plane intake can't compete. The 190 Vortecs are a full cnc head too.

TruxtonFox 03-15-2016 01:31 PM

Whats the advantage of the RPM's over the Vic Jr? and what about the cam selection?

Wish I ran that intake on a setup I build but at the end of the day it still made respectable power.

355", SRP 10.2:1 flat-top pistons, eagle rods, Bullet Cam, Edelbrock Etek 220 heads, Mercruiser MEFI1 MPI fuel injection and oversized throttle body. 425HP @ 6000 rpm, fully dressed with Stainless Marine Exhaust on the dyno.

How fast did that end up running on 'little mo' ? I don't remember if I heard the #'s

76 mph was the best I saw with a Mirage plus prop. It was a 12 mph gain over the stock 350 mpi.

the new owner put a Black Hawk on it and now it's running 80 mph. I miss that damn boat and want it back!!
