Most end up running either the GM Hot Cam (218/228 112LSA) as HAxby did, or the Comp Cams XM270HR (218/224 112LSA).
Exahsut is usally Stainless MArines (as PAnther did) or the cheaper GLM's with extended (must weld these in) inner pipes.

I found the old dyno sheet. It was actually 429 hp.
With a better intake/EFI I think it would have done a bit better. I was also very limited in tuning upper RPM's because the MEFI 1 base map doesn't go up that high. I forget the RPM level it cut off at but I had to set it and forget it.

Didn't know you sold it. And yes, I do know you loved that thing. The small performance boats are a nice change of pace.

The merc stuff is all fine! Only change I made to my merc system was an MSD coil.

John Cohen was the one who originally suggested that I put a Blackhawk on it when I owned it. He said the hull worked really well with it.
Yes, I sold it in the fall of 2014, just 6 months after completing the restoration. It was a sale I'm not proud of but I unfortunately had to let it go for personal reasons.

That's all I do to. Canister style MSD High Vibration coil and a seperate coil wire hold down. NGK V Power plugs (i just like them, lol) for the aftmkt heads (ACdelco for stock heads) Rest factory Merc. Don't mess with what works right ? 6100-6200rpm without missing a beat. LOL.
Better that went vs the the big boat ! But .......still suks obviously.
Yeah, it did and it supposedly handles a lot better and has crazy acceleration!

A lot of advantage for the RPM on a typical mild 5.7.
