Default Help: issue with GIL manifolds hitting back of Alt - Gen 4 454

I was finishing up assembling the brackets, and exhaust and the cooling elbow hits the back of the alternator. I have the PS/Alt bracket. What have other done? Any pics? Can I space it out and align it with PS and use 1 long belt (dont like that idea).

how do i upload a pic?

Can you shorten bracket and go with smaller belt?cim assuming it's the adjustable lower bracket that's hitting.

You have to massage the manifold a little. I just ran into this with two motors this week. If you shorten the belt more the alternator hits the engine block. It doesn't take much to make it clear.

I'm hitting the cooling pipe elbow not the manifold itself.

yes I have the 3 pulley set-up.
