Actually, the issue was it running like chit, because the piece of rubber, got lodged in there, keeping the needle and seat from closing. At idle, it was dumping fuel, and running like chit. Hence why he sent me the carbs .

on my lightnings the only place could get a 02 to live was in a header tube, about 10" from flange

I'm running the AEM "failsafe" gauge..

Logs RPM MAP and AFR.

It can be set up to activate a warning if your A/F falls out of the range you specify.. :)

I am researching AFR sensor's for my freshly rebuilt 454's

I am interested in your sensor configuration for this gauge.

Do you have 1 gauge\sensor per Exhaust bank tailpiece? ( Ideally I would have 2 sensor's 1 dash gauge\logger per engine.)
Where did you locate the sensor's?

That WOULD be ideal, but no, I'm only monitoring 1 bank, the O2 port is in the riser...

Answer to your questions in order 1 Yes, 2 Yes, 3 Yes, depending on your engine CONFIGURATION it can be a very useful on the fly engine monitoring tool, just as all other monitoring gauges, for those who bother to look at them! LOL. I use the DGL-1 dual. Note as others have cautioned, make sure the sensor is placed away from any water reversion.

Disclaimer: Always take the time to read your plugs!! more so if the engine has not been run on a dyno first!!

Interested in where you placed the sensors in your application and what issues you may have had with it.
I am considering a plate in the dry joint between the aluminum manifold and the riser\tailpiece.
I have heard concerns about locating in the dry joint.. (Preference to certain cylinders, not deep enough into the stream to be accurate.)

Must be the Silent Choice Lightnings. On the standard Lightnings I have mine in the collector with a 525 cam. I have an O2 on the starboard side for my dash mounted gauge and one on the port side for my Holley HP ECM to read off of. I am going to swap sides this spring and see if the ECM adds or subtracts fuel when it reads off the starboard side. Running O2's full time no problems.

This gauge looks like a must for any piece of mind on a custom build. Not knocking fuel pressure gauge, I have one of those also.
Anybody added data logging to monitor with vac/tps/rpm/afr? Looks easy to add tps to carb.

I have data logging via the Holley HP ECM. Its great to sit down and take your time reviewing the logs. Very useful if you have a hard to diagnose problem.
