I'm looking for some feedback/help on my Gaffrig GPS speedometer. It quit working recently. When I turn on the key the pointer goes over and back but does not read speed. Someone mentioned that there is a battery in the sending unit and that may the problem. It has no designed access to the battery. Gaffrig doesn't offer the battery and says just buy new speedo kit.

Anyone have any experience with this problem. It's about 10 years old.
