I told Tim early on I'd be happy to run the cam through the lab. I'm close with Kip and he'll be involved with everything. Everybody involved is trying to make sure this gets resolved and the engines are reliable.

Foxwell actually offered some tech advice.

Scott, you been preaching about the shrouded wheel lifter concept , and how fork lifters spread. Have you ran either the morels or johnsons in any bbcs turning 6,000, 6500, 7000rpm with 500 plus lbs of open pressure ? If so, what were the results ? Did the forks spread? Any signs of wheel tracking ? Valve float? How many seasons or hours ?

We have ran Fork style lifters over 10,000rpm 500lbs on the seat. I forget the open. But never had valvetrain issues. 1.250" lift

The only reason I see the necessity to make the lifter with a shrouded wheel is so you can make the body out of a cheaper material.

same here,,but we're only a measily 1.195". of course,its only for 6.95secs.and this year,,maybe less.

Do they make any 904 or larger body lifters, with say , a .750 wheel in a shrouded body?
