NO ONE has said any one thing is 100% bad or good....stop reading posts and guessing what the "tone" it was written in. Agree to disagree, but be happy that the topic, may it be lifter wheel size or whatever, was brought up for discussion.

Every build is different and will respond differently to its parts combination

There is lots of good info and ideas in this thread from all types of sources, you can either be thankful for the Information and entertainment, or complain that your answers were not delivered on a silver platter.

Your exhaust sucks too.:helmet:

Noticeable difference! Assume both were reverse sweep pulls? ;) ;) :D Sorry, had to lmao!!

its your boat , time and money. I don't feel many if any are blaming you for this situation. You really need to quit reading between the lines and just listen and filter out out the nonsense.

This has been going on since May of 2015, and been the worst engine builds and problems I ever had after building many other engines in my life, I am a tad sensitive and worn out, I can't tell you how many times a full part out was almost in order... The only thing that honestly keeps me going at times is the fun times and my wife reminding me how fun they are, most people's wives would have made them sell by now, so yes I do read between the lines and have bad days... I have had about enough of this nightmare to be honest. Many guys also write checks to have work done, I don't... And I literally pay cash as I go and that's stressful also when the issues have been so much, geeze for me to not be in debt after all this blows my mind so that's probably why I have not given up...

I am the same way, and have followed all these threads with great interest. I also was one of the diks prodding you to open them up for a looksee, for peace of mind or heading off a disaster.
no one wants to open the can of worms you are dealing with, but once open you just have to do what you can to satisfy you and the wife. Your trying, have some good friends with a lot of knowledge, so in the end it'll work out .

Too late for all that.

When heads are flowed cam will be discussed.

I just wrote a long post then deleted it cause..... Did you improve the ports at all or pretty much clean up and blending? It would be nice if you posted one of up your heads int and exh port flow numbers. My only advice and then I'm done is don't over cam. if I had to guess I'd say you'll end up somewhere in the 243/249-648/652 range. New guessing game anyway.

Well, I guess I am on Mild Thunders Chit list, unfriended off FB and that's fine it is what it is, blows my mind after tons of hours of talking and playing with things and tuning and all, I am wiped out like that for what? because I did not say for sure my lifters are an issue? never once did I backstab, talk BS behind closed doors, bash anywhere in private or public, I stood up for Joe many times when people would text or PM me about him being a jerk to others... normally this would not bother me at all but I thought we were better friends then "boat forum buddies" since he even came to hang out all weekend to dyno and all...

Oh well, for what it's worth Joe, thanks for the help and talks, was fun and I learned a lot, I am sorry I am having someone local handle my situation, might be good might be bad, I am not sure if that is the issue or what but it is what it is... the sad part is you turned me onto Bob M from day1 when you still liked him and I never ever once said Gee thx for that....

I see friendships as deeper then FU I am walking away... guess my idea of friendship is different.

I cannot believe all the heartache this has caused me, and now friends also, I had peoples backs and it cost me a ton of greif, now I say F it and worry about myself. I can forsee the "Tim is an idiot" posts starting now and the hassle I am going to have to deal with in the future.

Full Force 11-30-2016 08:07 PM

heads are getting valve jobs soon or maybe even now, I don't have flow numbers yet, and seriously considering not posting anymore info about my builds or very little... as anything I do it seems is going to be picked apart ... Randy does not even want to post anymore with any factual info and was ran off the site in a day... he has a lot to offer but that don't matter now.

Tim, who cares if your an idiot or not?? As long as you like to play with fast boat and drink alot, your ok by me!

Thats the chit that really matters isnt it?

When you are old and wrinkled stuck in a nursing home sitting in a wheelchair with a bent wheel and a flat tire talking to you bud, is the conversation going to be about that one time you had a disagreement over a lifter or are you going to be laughing busting your buddies balls for the 427th time about the day he got drunk at the casino and fell off the dock.... my guess is the latter....
