Tech section is definitely a benefit to many including myself. However with that said I learned over 30 plus years of building engines that if your gonna take it upon yourself to do your own builds try and learn from the best and stick with one person who kinda takes you under his wing so to speak. I was fortunate. During those days I had a guy not far away that was your local gear head so to speak. I remember riding my bike over to watch and help when allowed. I stuck with his ways and learned a lot. Every build would be built above and beyond the engines potential taking extra percaution everywhere. Absolutely no shortcuts. No where. over the years you meet different people and friends with different opinions and ways but that's ok. When it comes to assm I go back to who I learned from. Thats just about every kind of hobbie engine you can come up with. I have machine/speed shop do near 80% of my work. Assembly is the easy part but even then each part gets cleaned inspected and recleaned. I'm a fanatic when it comes to that.
Ok the only thing I haven't said is I'm still riding a bike but now I wear football helmet. Lol. Btw Tim I know the question was raised a few times know but what are your lifter bore sizes. I know you said they were fine but when you think of it please post actual measurements. |
