What would it matter what side?

I think that is normal MK cam wear Tim.
Heads and Cam have to be tuned up every season. Try some 800 grit.

This is a Marine Kinetics cam after 35 hours, see normal.

My guess is both will look the same. This isn't an anomaly or the first one like this. Quite common actually.

Thought it might be why he had to lean that side down. Wasn't getting as much duration. :faint2:

I'd confirm 100 % seat and open pressures all good and no coil bind. Then probably making a phone call or going for a drive with cams in hand.

My crower cams or your crane 8620 billets didn't look like those, and they've been around the block quite a few times.

Obviously you want to cover all avenues. However this not being the first or an abnormal ordeal kinda lends to what the issue is.

Right looks like Tim's is a 5150 which is a cheaper core.

Mine have a little mark. Can you feel anything with your finger Tim or are you too busy kicking the dog and throwing tools??
