Oil bypass question
Picked my motor up from the builder saturday. Sounds amazing! I have a question about the oil psi bypass valve.
When i dropped the motor off the oil bypass was plugged. He used a different filter plate to run it on the stand and it had a spring valve in it ( no clue what #). Before dropping the motor back in the boat i swapped them out and put my plugged filter plate back on. Ok? I tried calling my guy but javnt heard back yet. |
Better off blocked off bypass then the wrong bypass, I run the 30# ones but many guys use the 11 and have issues... Blocked is fine also then it gaurantees all oil goes through cooler

I use the canton racing adapter. less restrictive. Like was said either plug it or use the 30 psi valve.

Ok the ones I use do not have them...

But remember there is two bypasses, one beside the centre and one below the centre, I took the two out and plugged the one to the right of the centre.
