Default Oil bypass question

Picked my motor up from the builder saturday. Sounds amazing! I have a question about the oil psi bypass valve.

When i dropped the motor off the oil bypass was plugged. He used a different filter plate to run it on the stand and it had a spring valve in it ( no clue what #). Before dropping the motor back in the boat i swapped them out and put my plugged filter plate back on. Ok?

I tried calling my guy but javnt heard back yet.

Better off blocked off bypass then the wrong bypass, I run the 30# ones but many guys use the 11 and have issues... Blocked is fine also then it gaurantees all oil goes through cooler

Get the racing filter with the bypass built in.

I use the canton racing adapter. less restrictive. Like was said either plug it or use the 30 psi valve.

You might want to do some research on that there are plenty of them. Some even have screens on the bypass.

But remember there is two bypasses, one beside the centre and one below the centre, I took the two out and plugged the one to the right of the centre.
