That is a big lake, are there any speed restrictions?

It is a large lake, being the speed restrictions to 28kts, but in winter when the water to be little traffic, the lake is poorly controlled.

Goodmorning everyone.
Unfortunately it is obliged to remove the MSD system, the boat lights up and operating as usual ... but sometimes (for no reason) Motor it dies and smart craft mistake to give "LOST COM".
Sometimes making it hard to leave.

Also I do not understand why MSD does not respond to email for some assistance.

In stock form the Merc HVS has to be phased per spec -- the HVS does not set timing as its just sends spark to the proper cylinder but has to be phased correctly to do so - this is all DONE PER --- ECM 555 stock Merc LOCKED calibrations then in conjuction the stock HVS ,

Stock OEM Marine engine builds some more info = a Bravo 5.7 or 6.2 or 5.0 or 4.3 uses different ECM 555's and also different ECM 555's than an ALPHA outdrive on the same apps and also straight inboard apps uses a different ECM 555 than the other 2 ( Bravo and Alpha)

ECM 555 you can not just cross to what ever engine nor what drive or just an transmission. They are all calibrated per that app.

From the start, I did not see how this was going to work all stock app untouched tune to just change over to MSD ignition set up using a full blown LOCKED stock OEM calibrated ECM 555.

Really can careless what the auto side does with the MSD and their tuning in which is reprograming by even things like Hypertech and so on - boats do not have auto controllers as ECM's. nor reprogrammable systems unless you seek out the 3 people in the USA that are capable to do the unlocking of the ECM and spec tuning per non stock parts installed.

Go back to stock and enjoy your boats - you were not going to gain once of anything changing an ignition set up except a headache.

Thanks all, "our" lake is really a pearl.

For BUP, Thank you for your explanations, at this point to the stoichiometric ratio too fat I have no hope of adjusting?
