From what I have seen/read the front mounted TB intakes are terrible under boost, everything blown to back of intake, bounces around and then is a crapshoot what cylinders get what, seen 40+hp gains on LS stuff, only reason to run that style is if there is not room...my .02

Update on this issue. I found that the hydraulic lifter on the tulliped valve was seized. Plunger would not compress at all. Not sure if this was the cause of the tulliped valve as maybe it was not closing fully and transferring heat to the head or if the tulliped valve caused the lifter to seize. Disassembled the lifter and reassembled and it seems to be fine now. Any thoughts?
