I started at 80 and ended at 80 and I tested well over 5 different sets of props. The one thing I forgot to mention is I'm running 1.8 rockers on the intakes so that will change things slightly.

Did you see Mild Thunders post on all the various cams and the results? The best average power came from a 741 cam. I'll be honest, I was rather shocked at the results.
Yeah I saw that. Joe and I have talked extensively. He helped pick the cams I'm using. With my specs these were good for like 30-40 peak hp over the 741. That was at 6k and 741 was at 5500. I'll know full results soon enough as I hope to wrap these things up and dyno soon. Lol

i would think to make 690 hp from a 510 the compression would need to be 11.1 or more and rpm it to 6500 or more.

The Mercury supercat engines were 510ci. 750hp. They also were like 12.5:1, with a 280ish duration solid roller that revved to like 7500rpm with brodix cnc ported heads. Not a real pleasure boat friendly engine

At at a bare minimum least I'd want to know where the engine makes its power.

IMO, there is no way they are building 700 hp out of a 510 CI engine. For comparison here are my engines which are 650 hp. 509 CI, Crane 741 cam, 10:1 cr, Dart Pro 1 310 heads (ported by Jim V to 320, it takes one hell of a head to out flow these, they flow 394 cfm @ .70), Dart intakes and holley hp 950 carbs. I'm sure there is a bit to be gained by going to a bigger carb, have the intake ported and bump up the compression a bit more. Either way I don't think there is another 50 hp to be found, maybe but I doubt it.
Those are some nice builds you have there. Cant go wrong with those JimV heads and a cam thats proven not to beat up parts.

So here is the Dyno sheet. Looks like a 651 cam, pro 1 310 heads, sniper jr intake. 1050 carb. No idea if it's a 4150 or 4500, due to the jets im guessing 4150. Either way, Dyno sheet guys, is this a happy Dyno or using a realistic correction factor?

Looks like a nice powerband to me . Nice to see a marine build that isnt falling on its face at 5500.

509, dart 310 heads, id imagine a healthy cam in it based on the powerband. Be nice to know more info on the rest of the build

Edit. Just noticed its a 651 cam. That is a healthy cam for a 509
