Winterizing a MPI Engine

I also have switched into the modern age (from carb to EFI) and this will be the first winter with EFI. This is great info. Although I have another question. How long is it really good to keep gas in a boat without refueling? Last year, for the first time I DID NOT winterize my (CARB) boat. I kept it in my heated barn (atleast JUST above freezing). About once a month I would pull it out and start it and run it for atleast a few minutes. Come spring time it was "ready to go". Worked out great but was wondering the actual life span of the gas (with stabilizer).

I think its about 6 months max on gas, heres the problem if it goes bad you are so screwed everything is gummed up and on top of that you have to get ride of all that bad gas. stabilizer is cheap insurance!!!

Damnit, facetiousness must escape you my friend
, too many guys would have been serious and I fear too many will still just get a 5 gal pail or gerry can and a hose instead of getting an outboard fuel tank

Of Course, that was my point exactly! People are funny creatures...we take short cuts at every chance we get...I can just picture it now...portable fuel tank, hoses coming off, hoses connected, fuel filters removed and installed, some spillage in inevitable and KABOOM!!! Scary stuff!
