Mike, I never recommend cams these days but I can tell you what I run in my 396 69 Camaro. custom comp grind solid roller, 263/274 648/646 109 lsa, 49* overlap, 25/25 lash, 12.5 CR 7/16 push rods comp rller rockers, through cambered exhaust. won't really work for your build, But if your customer wants to rattle the glass at the soda shop that's the ticket!!

The GM crate 427/480HP engine, is 10:1, uses the same 224/234 110 LSA the ZZ502 crate engine uses. The 427 makes 480hp around 5800rpm. The ZZ502, makes 508hp at 5200rpm. Same heads, same cam, 9.6:1.
Im almost positive that cam is a BILLET core, and availble for 200 bucks new Camshaft Type (P/N 12366543) |

How about a ZL1/L88 427 mechanical flat tappet
262/272 110 LSA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDfM35SVRk0 I'm sure power was left on the table compared to a modern roller but I wasn't too concerned with that, besides have you ever heard one of these cams? |

I just bought a set last spring / late winter and one was absent the EDM hole. I had to send it back and get a replacement. Probably just a fluke, but just a heads up. |
I usually do this...1800-cam-help..comp, grinding me a special SB cam as we speak for boat engine I'm doing now

after doing some research i decided to go with a crane 168741 cam.in this small 462 cu in engine i think it will pull hard to 6400 or so and still have more low end grunt than the car can use.the heads came today and i gotta say they are a thing of beauty.the polished cnc chaimbers look awsome.
