Default Timing set for gen v block with step nose cam

What timing set can be used on a gen v block with a step nose cam? The cover is stock 525sc gen v.

you need a timing set for a gen 6 engine,also need the cam retaining plate&blots.i have the part number for them in the shop and can post in the am unless someone beats me to it.

I have the retaining plate and bolts. Just need timing set. Is the gen vi a single or double row?

If you buy rollmaster with Torrington bearing you need to clearance the retainer... just fyi

not if you have the right ratainer,i found out their are two sizes.

factory one is slngle.i like the rollmaster.cloyes also has a nice one,here is a tip,the summit brand is a cloyes and a little cheaper price.i recently took an engine apart that was built in 09,i could not believe how tight the gm single row chain was.

I was not the only person to find out there was an issue at the time, made a post seems many had same issue, part of learning curve

The chain looks like a drive chain off a motorcycle... serious rugged chain!!
