I bought one from craigslist and have a dedicated oven. Easy to find old takeouts that the oven still works

Can you powdercoat over powdercoating, or does it need to be blasted off?

Brembofreak 02-27-2017 01:02 AM

My blank metal before coating! some of my engine are made fraom alloy,as new Motor ! I would do alltime again.
My meaning first was that coating go away on area where the pulley belt work. But it is there like new.No signs of wear.
Very hard coating! Michael

If you have the correct equipment you can, it has to be done at a higher amperage, the PS reservoir picture that I posted is a chrome base color with a candy blue over the top.

I powder-coated my serpentine belt pulleys several years go- 0 problems and the pully surfaces are unblemished.

Michael,
Is that a 496 in your Baja? It looks nice with the powder coating! Was the alternator spray painted, and was it did-assembled first? Thanks

Brembofreak 03-07-2017 01:10 AM

No, is no 496!
One Generation after with many alloy parts like pulleys but also aloy heads.
The Generator was spray painted one year later. But i have an aftermarket here that i want take in parts and also coating.
Also want to powder the heat exchanger too.

So it's the 8.2 HO 502 correct?
