The 35' step bottoms always seemed to come from Fountain turning in with Hydromotive QIV. The flat bottoms I'm not so sure.

From my experience, I gained 1-2mph spinning in the but ease of docking was greatly diminished and I didn't like how the boats fell on their chine in quartering seas. That darn torque will do it to ya! Carries the bow nice though. Just not for me.
